Australian folk Singer-Songwriter, Abby May, is an award winning solo artist originally from Gulaga Mountain, Tilba, NSW, and now based in Sydney. Classically trained in voice, Abby writes and performs intricate melodies showcasing a mesmerising fusion of folk, jazz, blues and indie. With a sprinkle of influence from Eva Cassidy and the whimsical art-folk of Aurora, Abby creates a deeply moving world in which her audiences resonate. Her intuitive ability to capture moments of conflict and beauty, compares the ebb and flow of natural processes with human perspective. 

The 2025 Emerging Artist Recording Sponsorship Winner at the Bundanoon Folk Festival, 2024 Australian National Busking Championships Grand Final second-place winner, and St. Cecilia Music Scholarship Awardee, Abby May continues to captivate audiences with her effortlessly expressive vocal nuances and technical artistry. Her voice has been described as silver, angelic, honestly nostalgic, comforting and calming, creating a transportive experience for listeners.

Currently studying music at university, Abby May aspires to perform and run songwriting workshops while touring regional and remote areas, where there is increasing social disconnect impacting youth development and well-being, to bring communities together.
